Super Low-Fat Added Granola Recipe

Mix together:

2+1/2 pounds rolled oats

3/4 pound wheat germ

1 pound unsweetened grated coconut

2-3 cups chopped pecans and slivered almonds

Mix toegether

3 cups firmly packed brown sugar

2+1/2 cups water

3 Tablespoons vanilla extract

Combine the two mixtures.  Transfer to a shallow baking pan.  Place pan in a 350 degree oven until mixture is golden brown, stirring every 4-10 minutes.  Total oven time should range from between 40-5- minutes.

Tips and variations:

Make with organic ingredients, goats milk, and honey and you have a delicious snack or breakfast entree that the entire family can enjoy! Omit the nuts and replace with raisins and cranberries, dried pineapple, apple, and banana chips.  Add dried chopped apricots, dates and prunes.

Low sodium, low fat, low sugar,  lactose free, gluten free!
